CPKC Stadium on Prime Video at 8:00 p.m.

Kansas City, which has already clinched the No. 1 seed for the playoffs, demonstrated why they are dominating at the top, besting Chicago in this one. But the game was more compelling that the score might indicate.

Debinha (7' from Zaneratto) started the scoring that let KC take a 1-0 lead at the half. In the second Bia Zaneratto (51' from Chawinga) pushed the Current lead, before Nádia Gomes (58' assist Schlegel) scored to make things interesting, 2-1.

Temwa Chawinga (73' from Long) added to her now league-leading 14th goal of the season, before Stars Ava Cook was tagged with a bad foul (technical term) in added time that lead to a PK conversion by Lo'eau LaBonta (90+5') to close out the scoring and make the final look lopsided.

Sports Illustrated Stadium on NWSL+ at 8:00 p.m.

Gotham got a pair of first-half goals (Midge Price, 10' assist Freeman, a cross and Rose Lavelle, 43' assist by Shaw following a fast break) and added a third when Katie Stengel's (73' assist Lavelle) goal from left of the box found the back of the bottom right corner to soundly beat Portland, pick up 3 points and put pressure on the top of the table.

Snapdragon Stadium on NWSL +/ P+ at 10:30 p.m.

In the late match from San Diego fans were reminded that Orlando is the defending league champion when Pride's Jacqueline Ovalle (8' from Watt) knocked a goal in from right to left. Dudinha (10' unassisted) equalized two minutes later and the teams played even the rest of the half. But they play two in this sport and Orlando's Carson Pickett (54') got the game-winner of a center of the box finish off Hernández lovely cross and assist.

Things in the battle for the Nos. 2-8 spots for seeding in the playoffs are clustered as, entering Sunday, only 8 points separate 2 from 8. What a sport!

Lynn Family Stadium on ION at 7:30 p.m.

This one was decided when Sarah Weber (66') from very close range took an excellent pass and assist from Sears and redirected it to the bottom right corner to account for the only goal Racing Louisville would need to pick up 3 points in the standings.

PayPal Park on ION at 10:00 p.m.

Utah earned its fifth win of the season (expansion franchise in 2024) as Janni Thomsen (9' assist by Monaghan) and Aisha Solorzano (18') put back her own mist to get the Royals on the scoreboard early which allowed the Royals to settle in to play solid defense the rest of the way.

Audi Field on NWSL+ / P+ at 1:00 p.m.

Hat trick! But wait. It was all scored in the first half, so that's, what? Yep, still a hat trick. Gift Monday scored at (18' off a fast break and beautiful assist by Rodman), at (21' with a put-back from close range off a cross and shot she took) and again in the 37th minute, another assist to Rodman who had the crossing pass. Washington got a second half score from Sofia Cantore (82' from close range, assist to Miura) to put a little distance between them and the No. 3-see Gotham FC in the race to the playoffs.

Lumen Field on NWSL +/ P+ at 8:00 p.m.

It was actually North Carolina that looked like they were in control when Hannah Betfort (57' off a cross and assist from Williams) scored to put the Courage ahead. But, an own goal (suffered by Ryan Williams, 71') and a score by Maddie Dahlien (80' from the center of the box with an assist to Menti) put Seattle on top for good to close out Week 22 action as the No. 4 seed, only a point behind No. 3 on the table. Courage remains a point behind No. 8 Racing Louisville in the chase for the playoffs.

It's already been interesting, but things maybe just got even better!
