Another NFL connection for Ashley to write about

Look, if there's a tie between the NWSL and the NFL, you can bet I'm going to find it and share it here with you. Sorry, I can't help it! I've been a football fan my entire life, and my Thursday-Monday gets a little crazy during football season. (I still squeeze in NWSL games, I promise!)
So, what's this month's NFL connection? Stadiums for 2026 matches.
Since the two 2026 expansion teams don't have their own stadiums yet, they'll be playing at least their first home games at NFL stadiums in March. Denver Summit FC at Empower Field at Mile High (Denver Broncos) and Boston Legacy FC at Gillette Stadium (New England Patriots).
Summit FC already has quite a following, with the team saying it has collected more than 15,000 season ticket deposits. I will be interested to see if we have record-breaking attendance for a Summit FC game at Mile High since that stadium holds 76,000 people. (For reference, the current record attendance is 40,901, set earlier this year at Oracle Park, home of MLB's San Francisco Giants.)
Summit FC will likely move to a new stadium in 2026, a temporary home for matches until a permanent stadium is built in 2028.
Legacy FC will spend the 2026 season at Gillette, then move to White Stadium in 2027. The stadium is getting a facelift and was supposed to be done by the start of the season, but had several project delays.
